READ TO GROW

Helloooo! I have my last layout from the Scrapbooking from the Inside Out August "Growth" kit today. I love movies, but nothing sticks with you like a great book.  I love to read to my kids, and some of those kids books are really good.  Hopefully this is something that will stick with them because when you're from a rural area books can really broaden your horizons.
I loved cutting up that American Crafts hexagon paper, very zen.  I used the Ranger Denim color wash on that wooden dragonfly and it really gives great coverage.  That's one set of thickers, I just pulled the blue top off and misted the brown ones.  I always love my white pen on dark cardstock.  I got the signo uniball white pen and it is the best thing going in white pens!  Thanks for looking and any and all book recommendations are always welcome.

  1. Love how you cut out those hexys! Our favorite book right now is Goodnight Goon - even better than the original!

  5. I so agree, I'm from a rural area and I to this day enjoy books, they are just an adventure waiting to happen. Now with an iPad, the world is truly at your fingertips. It sure looks like they are embracing what you are teaching them.
Fun page, I love the hexagon's, it seems they are cropping up everywhere!
